Hey everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely day. I'm super excited to announce the launch of my website and blog!!! This is going to be my personalized page to help connect with clients, fans, makeup brands and enthusiasts. I will be posting my favorite products, sharing tips, tricks and my experiences working in the fast and glamorous LA makeup scene. Please feel free to comment and share your thoughts on any content your would like to see covered in the blog!
Lately my go-to cleanser for my face has been the “Purifying Foam Cleanser” by Kaplan MD. This product works wonders for me since I’m constantly reapplying makeup on the daily. It’s a gentle, sulfate-free, foaming gel cleanser that contains 22 certified extracts to remove makeup, dead surface cells, and other impurities that can clog pores. The foaming cleanser also helps to restore my skin's natural pH for a soft, and youthful complexion.
After I cleanse my face I then prep my skin with Gleam By Melanie Mills Body Radiance in shade “Rose Gold”. This amazing product is makeup, moisturizer, and glow all in one! The best part about it is that you can use this on your face and body to give you a healthy radiant luminous glow. It’s transfer resistant, non-staining and non-streaking. I wear the shade Rose Gold when I want a naturally glow and wear darker tones like Bronze Gold or Deep Gold when I have a special event to attend. Gleam by Melanie Mills Body Radiance always makes me feel on-point & flawless!! To save money on all Gleam products please feel free to use my code at checkout. Code: ASHLEY
For foundation I used the new Narsissist Luminous Weightless Foundation in shade “Barcelona”. This foundation is perfect for all skin types. It is extremely lightweight yet full coverage that leaves a natural finish. This formula works great for me since I don’t have time touch up my makeup through out the day. I’m always running around on a tight schedule and I need my makeup to last the entire day! I can always count on this foundation to last me around 16 hours. Tools to apply: Japonesque 845 brush
I use the Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer under my eyes, bridge of nose, forehead and chin to bring back light and for a longer lasting wear. This concealer does not crease as much as other concealers do. It’s waterproof and extremely long wearing. Tools to apply: Lightly damp beauty blender or a #286 brush from MAC Cosmetics.
If you are looking for an easy to use cream contour product try using the contour stick in shade “Medium” from Artist of Makeup Cosmetics. You can apply this stick directly to your face and blend it out with a lightly damp beauty blender or a #130 brush from MAC Cosmetics.
I set my foundation and Concealer with Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder. This product is infused with the finest French “cashmere talc”, non-dusty, non-drying translucent powder sets makeup and leaves a flawless finish. It always helps to smooth away fine lines and imperfections as it sets your makeup.
Brows, brows, brows!!! You guys know I’m all about eye brows. Brows are my favorite element when it comes to a makeup application because it truly helps to frame the face. Brows also make you look young and youthful. I use a lot of brow products from Anastasia Beverly Hills on myself as well as my clients. My favorite product to use on myself is the “Medium” shade Brow Wiz. My brows may look full but believe it or not I have plenty of gaps. The brow wiz pencil really helps to stick to the skin where my hair doesn’t grow.
Eyes are the first features that I’m drawn to when I look at someone so I try to put a lot empathizes on the eyes. All of the eye shadows I used here are by Stilazzi. You can purchase Stilazzi products at Frends Beauty in Los Angeles, CA or online. On the lid I used a flat brush from Morphe Brushes “M415” to lightly pat on my light gold shadow in shade “PS34”. I used a Morphe Blending brush “M441” to apply my Stilazzi shadow in shade “MS41” Place your brush where the eye folds using a windshield wiper technique while moving your brush back and forth to blend in the crease. Apply this same shade underneath your eye to softly smoke out your bottom lash line. Top off your waterline with MAC Cosmetics eye khol in shade “Costa Riche”. I also used a liquid gelliner by Eve Pearl to line my upper lid. Use my code “ash_kholm” to save at checkout.
If you follow me on instagram you probably already know that my all time favorite lash line is Lilly Lashes! This definitely adds that WOW factor to the makeup
! In these photos I’m wearing Lilly Lashes in style “Miami”. Treat yourself to the best lashes money can by using my code “ASH” when checking out. Miami is the most desired lash! This style honestly looks good on everyone!
My hair was styled by the talented Jourdan Moore. I’m obsessed with the side part crown braid!!! She killed it on this one. Jourdan is a hairstylist living in Los Angeles.
